Custom software & internal tools
Dispatch boards, schedulers, dashboards: the tool your business needs and nobody sells. Written for the job, hosted by me, yours to keep.
Schrader Services LLC · Portland, Oregon
I'm Nick Schrader. I design networks, write the software nobody sells off the shelf, and run the platforms below out of my own rack. If it plugs in, routes, or runs on a schedule, I can build it and keep it running.
What I do for hire
Dispatch boards, schedulers, dashboards: the tool your business needs and nobody sells. Written for the job, hosted by me, yours to keep.
Addressing, segments, Wi-Fi coverage that was measured rather than guessed, and firewall rules written down in English.
The Monday report, the file somebody re-types, the alert nobody gets. If it follows a rule, it should not need a person.
I measure what is slow or flaky, say what is wrong in plain words, and give you the options with real numbers.
Your site on hardware I own and maintain: certificates, backups, uptime watching, and a person who answers when it breaks.
CAT6 runs, wall ports, patch panels, media panels and TV mounting, terminated, tested and labelled at both ends.
Built here, running now
Each one is designed, hosted and supported in-house, and each one has somebody other than me depending on it. The screens are mock-ups of the live interfaces, shown without client data.
ksch.stream
Virtual presenters host the hours: they read the program log, talk between songs, take requests from the chat and read a verified local wire. The hour is a real sixty minutes, and the times on the log are the times things go out.
Behind them is a working broadcast console: an on-air rail, a cart wall, clock and grid scheduling, traffic campaigns with affidavit reports.
schrad.works
Work orders a crew opens on a phone, a booth screen at the job, and devices that report in on time. A dispatcher moves a job and the crew's phone changes in the same second.

Local news, traffic, transit and weather pulled from credible sources, cross-checked and timestamped into one source of truth. It is what the DJs read on air.
Open StationWireai.schradernator.com
A local model with a job: it watches the network, reads the logs, draws logos and builds the voices the radio station uses. No API key, no bill per token, nothing leaves the house.

Every ebook and audiobook in one shared library, each reader's own place in every book, narration made on the GPU, and a projector mode driven from a phone.
Open Sunbear BooksWhy it holds up
Every public site dials out through its own encrypted tunnel. There is nothing on the house address to find, knock on, or scan.
Each site lives in its own container with its own filesystem. Client work never shares a disk with an experiment.
Models, voices and images render on a GPU workstation. The machines serving the sites stay light and stay up.
The whole rack began as hardware headed for landfill. Reuse is cheaper, greener, and a better education than buying the answer.
Free tools
A length converter for cable runs and a QR code generator for labels and signage. Free to use, with no account required.
Convert cable lengths in either direction. Type in either box and the other updates, with the result in decimal feet and in feet and inches.
Exact by definition: 1 ft = 0.3048 m.
Create a QR code for a link, a Wi-Fi network or contact details, and download it as a PNG ready for labels, signage and equipment tags.

A run you need pulled, a network that has never worked properly, a site that needs a home, a platform you want built or licensed. Start typing and it comes straight to my phone.
